🌳 Unlocking the Winter Wonderland in your Food Forest: Discover the Beauty of Structure! 🍂 In the crisp embrace of winter, this food forest reveals its enchanting skeletal elegance, showcasing the intricate architecture that often remains hidden when leaves abound.🌰 Amidst this winter panorama stand the majestic walnut trees, promising a bounty of nuts. Yet, a common mistake unfolds – planting walnuts without considering the waiting game for fruitful harvests. Here's where the magic lies: interspersing these noble giants with smaller, quick-yielding fruit-bearing plants.🍎 Picture the first five to ten years of your food forest, a symphony of production from the smaller plants nestled between the walnut trees. As they mature, providing ample harvests, the walnut trees ascend to their majestic heights, and a harmonious system evolves. The smaller trees gracefully yield the stage, allowing the walnuts to shine, creating a perpetual cycle of abundance.🌿 This ingenious approach ensures a continuous flow of produce, offering a quick win for your food forest. Who doesn't crave a bountiful harvest without the waiting game? Let structure guide your winter view, and let the abundance of your food forest be a testament to the artistry of strategic planting.Filmed in #eetbosdeinze#WinterFoodForest #StructuredHarvest #WalnutWisdom #CulinarySymphony #QuickWinGardening #BountifulAbundance #StrategicPlanting #HarvestMagic #FoodForestDesign #WinterGardenStructure #HarvestNow #CultivateAbundance #SustainableGardening #WinterWonderlandWins #GardenJoy #QuickYieldDelights #FoodForThought 🌲🍇✨#commensalist #landscapearchitecture #landscapedesign #permaculture #love #nature #foodforest #forestgarden #regenerative #louisdejaeger #beautiful #winter @Commensalist.Landscape @Louis.De.Jaeger

In the world of permaculture, the winter solstice marks a pivotal moment, signaling the onset of a natural cycle, a rebirth. From this juncture, many plants can germinate and have until the summer solstice to grow before eventually blossoming. This timeframe allows gardeners to achieve maximum yield from their plants.Following the summer solstice, numerous plants enter their flowering phase, redirecting their energy from mere growth towards blooming and fruit formation. The intensified light influence until the summer solstice triggers this process in many species, gradually halting their growth and increasingly focusing on the production of flowers and fruits. This natural timeline holds paramount importance in garden design and has been acknowledged since ancient times, with civilizations like the Egyptians using their exquisite architectural marvels as sundials. By acknowledging and acting in accordance with this cycle—be it selecting the types of plants to cultivate, timing care and watering, or harvesting at the opportune moment—gardeners can maximize their plants' yields. They benefit from the natural rhythms extending from the winter solstice to the summer solstice.#PermacultureInsights #WinterSolstice #NaturalCycle #PlantGrowth #SeasonalShifts #GardeningWisdom #MaximizingYield #FloweringPlants #SummerSolstice #HarvestTiming #AncientKnowledge #CulturalAwareness #SundialDesigns #GardenDesign #OptimalHarvest #GardeningTips #Nature’sRhythms #BloomingSeason #AncientCivilizations #GardenHarvest #SustainableLiving #NaturalRhythms #PlantingStrategies #GardeningCycles #HarvestSeason #GardenWisdom #SustainableGardening #CultivatingSuccess #GardeningInsights #SeasonalCycles

Attention all plant enthusiasts! 🌿 Have you heard of Chorizema cordatum? This beautiful Western Australian native shrub is a must-have for any garden! 🧡 Growing up to one metre high and 1.5 metres wide, C. cordatum is a small, erect, or scrambling plant that occurs naturally in the forests of the southwest on gravelly or loamy soils. It's commonly found near rocky outcrops, on hills, along watercourses, and in winter-wet flats. What's most striking about C. cordatum is its profuse racemes of large pea flowers in hot pink, orange, and yellow. These flowers can transform the plant into a brightly coloured mass of flowers and typically bloom from July onwards into late spring, with the main flowering in the early months of spring. But that's not all! Like many species in the pea family Fabaceae, C. cordatum fixes nitrogen from the atmosphere in nodules on its roots. This makes it a beneficial addition to any garden, as it stabilises the soil and provides nitrogen - acting as a living fertiliser. Simply amazing! So if you're looking for a stunning and beneficial plant to add to your garden, consider Chorizema cordatum. 🌺🌱 #Adelaide #Landscape #Garden #Design #Sustainable #AwardWinningDesign #LandscapeLove #OutdoorInspiration

This relatively new bamboo variety Fargesia 'Moontears'® Boobux is one of the contenders for the 'Visitor's Favourite' Green Retail Award 🏆at the Spring Edition of PLANTARIUM|GROEN-Direkt on 6 and 7 February.'Moontears' is a robust and healthy bamboo species that can be pruned into various shapes. As a result, Boobux serves as a good alternative to boxwood hedges, which are increasingly falling victim to boxwood moth infestations. After pruning, this bamboo readily branches out and continues to grow well, maintaining a compact form. This makes it well-suited for balconies or terraces. In addition to shaping, 'Moontears' is also suitable for use as a hedge or ground cover. Hoogeveen Plants from Hazerswoude has submitted the plant for evaluation and will release it into the market in a P29 size starting from week 18. The plant is readily available.Want to admire all Visitor's Favourites? Then register your visit here. https://loom.ly/5vMFPRA #horticulture #tradefair #treenursery #novelties #plants #bamboo
