The Hollies performed "Bus Stop" on Season 10 | Episode 1 of Dick Clark's American Bandstand. This episode aired September 10, 1966.
"Bus Stop" by The Hollies peaked at number 5 on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart on September 17,1966.
"Bus Stop" went on to spend a total of 9 weeks on the Billboard's Hot Top 100.
Graham Gouldman was only 19 when he wrote the song "Bus Stop".
According to a Manchester newspaper, Gouldman wrote "Bus Stop" while riding bus Number 95.
Gouldman's father, Hyme Gouldman, actually wrote the first line of the song "Bus Stop".
The Hollies recorded the song "Bus Stop" in just an hour and 15 minutes.
Herman's Hermits also recorded this song in 1966. (Herman's Hermits manager was married to the sister of "Bus Stop" songwriter, Gouldman.
The inspiration behind The Hollies band's name is the late Buddy Holly, who had died three years prior, in February 1959.
Many people including New Age pianist David Lanz covered the song from his 1998 album, Songs from an English Garden.

Steve is a former school bus mechanic for twenty years at the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities, who wrenched his way into a fleet maintenance supervisor position for another 15 years. He was a licensed mechanic in Michigan, and was an ASE master technician in heavy trucks and school buses as well. Mr. Gardner was an active member in the Ohio School Bus Mechanics association for over 25 years. Steve is credited with organizing the first mock school bus disaster in the state of Ohio in 1996, which involved mentally and physically challenged individuals. Steve is also the inventor of the Gardian Angel.
Public Speaking:
Steve Gardner spoke at the2013 National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services (NASDPTS) annual conference, where he demonstrated the Gardian Angel school bus lighting system for State Directors, the State and National Associations Council, the Supplier Council, along with other nationally recognized experts and associates.
